Net income
Net income is the amount remaining after all expenses, taxes, interest, and other costs are subtracted from total revenue. Often called net profit, it represents the bottom line of the income statement.
Example: A business earns $100,000 in revenue and incurs $75,000 in expenses, resulting in net income of $25,000.
