What is a large language model (LLM)?

A large language model (LLM) is a type of artificial intelligence trained on large volumes of text to understand, generate, and reason about language. LLMs can answer questions, summarize information, generate content, and interact with users through natural language.

Example: An accounting assistant powered by an LLM answers a business owner's question about monthly expenses by interpreting the request and presenting information from the company's financial records.
