What is a confidence score?

Confidence score

A confidence score is a measure of how certain an AI system is about a prediction, recommendation, or decision. In accounting, confidence scores can help determine whether a transaction should be processed automatically or routed to a human for review.

Example: An AI system assigns a high-confidence score to a recurring software expense and automatically categorizes it, while a low-confidence transaction is sent for human review.
