Category Manager is Digits' interface for creating, organizing, and managing accounting categories. It serves as the chart of accounts within Digits, helping businesses structure financial data across assets, liabilities, equity, income, and expenses.
Category Manager gives businesses control over how transactions are categorized and reported, providing the foundation for accurate financial statements and consistent bookkeeping.
Example: A business creates separate categories for software subscriptions, payroll expenses, and consulting revenue to track financial performance in more detail.
