What is the Agentic General Ledger™ (AGL®)?

Agentic General Ledger™ (AGL®)

The Agentic General Ledger™ (AGL®) is Digits' accounting-specific AI model architecture. It powers the intelligence behind Digits by applying accounting context, firm standards, and financial reasoning to workflows, such as categorization, reconciliation, quality control, schedules, and the month-end close.

Think of AGL® as the accounting equivalent of GPT, Gemini, or Claude—a domain-specific AI model built for financial work. It is the layered architecture powering intelligence across Digits, including categorization, dimensions, schedules, quality control, and the additional model layers Digits continues to build.

AGL® is the only domain-specific AI model for accounting, and Digits is the only accounting software company building on its own model architecture. Unlike general-purpose AI models, AGL® is designed specifically for accounting and financial operations.

Example: When a new transaction enters Digits, the platform evaluates it using AGL®'s accounting context and financial reasoning to identify potential issues and determine the appropriate treatment before it appears in financial reporting.
