Taking Automation Beyond the Ledger

Casey is extending Digits' capabilities by building custom AI workflows using its Model Context Protocol (MCP), connecting accounting data with other tools in her practice.

One of her most-used workflows is a month-end close quality assurance dashboard that pulls ledger data from Digits and runs 11 checks for issues like uncategorized transactions, new vendors, and potential capital purchases. What previously required manual review now produces a dashboard highlighting transactions that need attention.

She's also automated revenue journal entries from Anchor, Stripe, and Shopify payouts, replacing manual exports and entry preparation. Other workflows support financial analysis and automatically send weekly transaction questions to clients through Content Snare.
