Craig is Head of Product Strategy at Digits, where he’s helping to reimagine accounting in the age of AI. A seasoned industry leader, Craig was co-founder and founding CTO for online accounting and small business software, Xero. Started in New Zealand in 2006, Xero has become one of the world’s leading software-as-a-service companies. Craig is bringing that experience to building the next generation of accounting software in Digits.
At Xero, Craig played a key role in building the founding product team, shaping the company’s technology vision, and developing its core accounting platform. He later led the development of Xero’s next-generation financial services products, overseeing strategy and execution for solutions focused on accounts receivable and payable workflows.
Following his time at Xero, Craig served as Chief Product Officer at Versapay, where he helped mid-market businesses modernize their invoice-to-cash processes through AI-driven automation, B2B payments, and cash application.
Originally from New Zealand, Craig has lived in the U.S. since 2011 and currently resides in the greater Washington, D.C. area with his wife and two young sons.
