What are fixed assets?

Fixed assets

Fixed assets are long-term physical assets a business uses to operate, such as buildings, equipment, vehicles, and machinery. Unlike inventory, fixed assets are not intended for resale and are typically depreciated over their useful lives.

Example: A company purchases a delivery truck and records it as a fixed asset rather than an immediate expense.
