Danny Werfel is a public-sector and management executive who served as the 50th Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service from 2023 to 2025. He previously served as Acting IRS Commissioner in 2013 and held senior leadership roles at the White House Office of Management and Budget, where he focused on federal financial management, government operations, and program integrity. Between his periods of government service, Danny spent nearly a decade at Boston Consulting Group, where he became a managing director and partner and helped lead the firm’s public-sector practice. Across his career, he has worked at the intersection of government, financial management, technology, and organizational transformation, advising and leading large institutions through complex operational change.
